Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Tashkent

Upon arrival in Tashkent, you’ll be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a half-day city tour. Explore Independence Square, Amir Timur Square, and the Khast Imam Complex, home to ancient manuscripts including the famous Quran of Caliph Uthman. Conclude the day with a visit to the bustling Chorsu Bazaar, where you’ll experience the vibrant local life.

Day 2Tashkent – Samarkand

After breakfast, board a morning train to Samarkand, one of the most iconic cities along the Silk Road. Upon arrival, start your journey at Registan Square, an architectural masterpiece with its three stunning madrassahs. Visit Gur-e-Amir, the mausoleum of the great conqueror Timur, and end the day with a walk through the colorful markets of Siab Bazaar.

Day 3Samarkand

Spend a full day exploring Samarkand’s rich heritage. Begin with a visit to the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, once the largest mosque in the Islamic world, followed by the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, a collection of beautifully tiled tombs. Visit the Ulugh Beg Observatory, an ancient center of astronomical study. Spend your afternoon at leisure, wandering the city’s charming streets or relaxing at your hotel.

Day 4Samarkand – Shakhrisabz – Bukhara

Drive to Shakhrisabz, the birthplace of Timur, and visit the ruins of his grand Ak-Saray Palace. Explore the Dorut Tilovat and Dorus Siadat complexes before heading to Bukhara. Arrive in Bukhara in the late afternoon and check into your hotel. Enjoy a relaxed evening in this atmospheric city.

Day 5Bukhara

Spend the day discovering the treasures of Bukhara. Begin with the Ark Fortress, a royal town within a city, and explore the Bolo-Hauz Mosque. Visit the striking Ismail Samani Mausoleum, a masterpiece of early Islamic architecture, and the Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum. Continue to the Kalyan Minaret and Madrassah, followed by a stroll around the picturesque Lyabi-Hauz, a public square built around a pool surrounded by historic buildings. In the afternoon, visit the bustling local bazaars for handmade carpets, ceramics, and silk.

Day 6Bukhara – Khiva

Depart Bukhara and take a scenic drive across the Kyzylkum Desert towards Khiva. En route, you’ll pass the Amu Darya River, once known as the Oxus. Arrive in Khiva by late afternoon, check into your hotel, and enjoy a peaceful evening in this ancient walled city.

Day 7Khiva – Tashkent

Spend the morning exploring Itchan-Kala, Khiva’s inner fortress and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through its beautifully preserved madrassahs, mosques, and minarets. Visit the Kunya-Ark Fortress, the towering Islam Khodja Minaret, and the ornate Tash Khauli Palace. In the evening, take a flight back to Tashkent for your final night.

Day 8Departure from Tashkent

Enjoy breakfast and some free time for last-minute shopping or city exploration before your transfer to the airport for your departure.
